Fall River Planning Board tables Spring Street road project for fourth time, endorses Highcrest Road land split

FALL RIVER — July 8, 2026 — Fall River Planning Board tables Spring Street road work for a fourth straight month and endorses a Highcrest Road lot split. The board voted 5-0 at its July 8 meeting to table the Spring Street roadway reconstruction petition — filed under City Ordinance Section 66-185 — until August, after City Engineer Dan Aguiar reported that soil testing and test pit work is scheduled for July 16 and results are needed before any plan can advance; the item has been deferred since April. The board also voted unanimously to endorse a Form A approval-not-required plan for 200 Highcrest Road filed by Resendee's Residential LLC, a division that meets the S-district minimums of 100 feet of frontage and 12,000 square feet after a prior Board of Appeals variance for a three-unit development on the same parcel was denied.
