City Council · Meeting of July 14, 2026

FALL RIVER — The Fall River City Council voted unanimously to approve a revised curb cut order for a property at 34-36 California Street. Director of Engineering and Planning Dan Aguiar told the council the applicant scaled back the original 31-foot opening to two nine-foot cuts totaling 18 feet, needed to meet off-street parking requirements from a site plan review. Neighbor Nick Cecilio of 44 California Street said he no longer opposed the project but worried about runoff onto his sloped lot, saying "until it's done I won't know if I'll get water in my yard." Aguiar said the site will use porous pavers, not asphalt, to allow water infiltration, and that no occupancy permit will issue until the work matches the approved plan.

Councilor Paul Hart was absent due to illness.
